How I handle your information

Who I am

I'm Jeremy McGraw, Sales Representative with RE/MAX Capital Diamond Realty Brokerage, working as part of SJ Real Estate alongside Shastina Barlow. SJ Real Estate is a team within the brokerage, not a separate brokerage. This notice explains how I handle the information you share through jeremymcgraw.ca.

What I collect

• When you contact me or start a Client Profile: your name, email, phone number if you give it, what you're planning (buying, selling, renting or investing), your rough timing, how you'd like to be contacted and any question you ask.
• If you choose to tell me more about your plans: things like the areas, budget and type of home you're interested in, details about a home you're selling, and the mortgage agent or lawyer you're working with.
• If you choose to share them, a few personal details: birthdays, a partner's name, an anniversary, the first names of people and pets at home with their birthday month and day, favourites, hobbies and how you like to hear from me. All of these are optional.
• If you tick the box to receive email updates, a record of that choice, including the wording you agreed to and when.

What stays on your device

The What's Next checklists save your ticks, answers and chosen town in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off. That information stays on your device and isn't sent to me.

Why I collect it

• To reply to you and help with the real estate plans you've told me about.
• To remember your preferences and the personal details you've chosen to share, so my own follow-ups can be more personal. For example, remembering to wish you a happy birthday.
• To send you email updates, but only if you've separately agreed to receive them.

Marketing is always your choice

Contacting me or completing a Client Profile doesn't sign you up for marketing. Email updates are a separate, optional choice, and the box starts unticked. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask me directly at any time.

Choosing to receive email updates doesn't mean you've agreed to promotional texts. I'll text you about your own real estate plans when that's how you've asked me to stay in touch.

The personal details you share are never treated as permission to market to you, and I don't use information about children or other personal circumstances for advertising.

Who handles your information

• HubSpot, the customer relationship management system where your details are stored.
• The company that hosts this website.
• Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this site. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address.
• My brokerage, RE/MAX Capital Diamond Realty, where needed for real estate services and the records a brokerage is required to keep.
• Shastina Barlow or another colleague at my brokerage, if they're helping with your file, following our brokerage's procedures.

Your information is never sold.

Analytics and tracking

This website doesn't currently use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, I'll update this notice first, and personal details from your Client Profile won't be sent to analytics tools.

Seeing, changing or removing your information

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, or remove any of the optional personal details at any time. You can also withdraw your consent to email updates whenever you like. Email jeremy@remax519.com or call 519-982-8284. Some records related to a real estate transaction may need to be kept by my brokerage, and I'll tell you if that applies.

Keeping it safe

I only collect what helps me work with you, and I limit access to the people who need it to help you. If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, please contact me first. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
