LaSalle Real Estate & Relocation

I help LaSalle buyers connect the home's layout and upkeep with the specific routes, trail access and surrounding setting they want from the move.

Being near a trail, the waterfront or a destination is useful only if the actual connection works for you.

LaSalle's parks and trails are an important part of a location comparison. The Town's Active Living Map provides a practical way to identify them and examine the area around a candidate home. Explore LaSalle's Active Living Map.

I'm Jeremy McGraw, a Windsor-Essex Realtor and property owner. I help LaSalle buyers assess the property alongside the daily use they expect from its location.

I want to make that comparison specific: the right home, the route you will use and the responsibilities you will keep.

Plan My LaSalle Home Search

By Jeremy McGraw, Sales Representative, RE/MAX Capital Diamond Realty Brokerage. Updated November 2, 2026.

Start with your preferred residential setting

Tell me whether you want an established street, a different lot size, a newer home or a shared ownership arrangement. A detached house, townhouse and apartment-style unit can answer different needs even when the room count is similar.

The Town's Official Plan provides the broader land-use framework. It does not mean every property is available for every residential form or alteration. See LaSalle's Official Plan information.

We use your preferences to focus the search, then investigate the actual property's condition, ownership and permitted use.

Test trail access from the front door

If walking or cycling is part of the reason for considering LaSalle, I want the actual connection reviewed. Where do you join the route? Which roads must you cross? Does it reach the destination you intend to use?

A line on a map is useful preparation, but an in-person route check may reveal practical details about access and the way you will travel. I do not promise the same connection from every LaSalle address.

The same principle applies to errands and work. Identify regular destinations and test representative journeys rather than make a purchase depend on an advertised commute time.

Keep the waterfront's different meanings clear

LaSalle Landing is the subject of the Town's waterfront planning and project information. When it matters to your home search, we should distinguish what is currently available from proposed or developing elements. See the Town's waterfront project information.

A home near a public waterfront destination is different from owning private shoreline or having a legal access right. Your lawyer should clarify any rights represented as part of the property.

I would not assume proximity establishes boat access, a private view corridor or the ability to build a structure. Those are separate property and approval questions.

Match the lot to the work you want

The space around a home can be part of the attraction. I want you to consider what it will require in maintenance, drainage, landscaping and future repairs.

For an existing home, an inspection should address its actual systems and condition. For a newer-looking or recently updated property, establish what work was completed and which records are available. Appearance does not settle the scope of ownership costs.

Feature on the shortlistWhat I ask next
More outdoor spaceHow will it be maintained and used?
A trail connectionWhat route and access are actually available?
A pool, outbuilding or proposed additionWhat records, approvals and expenses apply?
Shared maintenanceWhat do the ownership documents allocate to you?

If a condo or similar arrangement is the preferred option, my condominium buying page explains the legal and financial review that should accompany it.

Investigate constraints before relying on a project

If the purchase depends on adding space, dividing land or changing the use, establish feasibility with the Town and the right professionals. A large lot does not automatically provide a development entitlement.

Where natural features or hazard questions are relevant, ERCA's mapping and property-inquiry service can help identify what needs further confirmation. See ERCA's development services.

Municipal and conservation inquiries, building review and insurance each answer different questions. I help coordinate the acquisition questions while the appropriate authorities and professionals advise within their roles.

Understand the setting around the home

For a location close to undeveloped or changing lands, review current planning information. An existing view or quiet construction-free period is not a promise about future surroundings.

The important distinction is between an idea, an application, an approval and completed work. I want a buyer to know which one is relevant before relying on it as a benefit or concern.

For the house itself, we also need a budget based on financing, taxes, insurance, utilities and the work you expect. I do not assume the cost of a previous home or another municipality transfers unchanged.

Plan the move around your current commitments

If you are coming from elsewhere, we can develop criteria before your visit and compare a focused set of properties. My relocation page explains that broader process.

If you already own a home, the sale and purchase need a funding and possession plan. We can start with the current property's position and your next-home requirements before deciding which commitment comes first.

Questions buyers ask me about LaSalle

Will every home have convenient trail or waterfront access?

No. Check the actual route and the type of access. A municipal location does not establish the connection from an individual home.

Can I assume a large lot can be divided later?

No. That requires property-specific planning and servicing review, with the necessary approvals. I would not include a future lot sale as a settled financial benefit.

Can I compare LaSalle with South Windsor?

Yes. We can compare actual homes, ownership costs and your regular routes while respecting that they are in different municipalities.

Can we start before I am ready to sell?

Yes. A discussion of suitable options and the current home can help establish whether the move is practical before setting a listing date.

Work with me on a LaSalle purchase

Tell me what you want from the home and its location, including any trail, waterfront or project requirements. I can help focus a LaSalle search and identify the property-specific information needed before you proceed.

General real estate information. Confirm ownership arrangements, access, planning, conservation and servicing requirements for the property. Project announcements do not guarantee completion or a particular effect on value.
